Cooking Requirement

I'm still young and I haven't met THE ONE yet, but I've always been taught the saying "The way to a mans heart is through his stomach." Is that true? Ladies, do you think we, as women, should be able to throw down in the kitchen? Men, do you want a lady that can cook or would you rather order out. Me personally I agree with the saying. There is no way that you should have to order out everyday, or have his mom prepare meals and send them over. Even if you can't cook, you better pull out a recipe book. My only theory is if you can't cook and have no desire to learn you better be able to cook something up in that bedroom. &It better be a damn good meal. I shouldn't have any problems on this end because I can throw down in the kitchen. I really want to know your opinions on this situation.

Okay, so I know I haven't shared a lot about my self YET on here, but it's all coming soon. Here's a little fact about me... I ABSOLUTELY look up to Tyra Banks. Anytime I've had school assignments on people/celebs/rolemodels they've mostly been Tyra. I'm a fan but I don't take it to the point of being a STALKER/STAN. I know a lot of people ask how can you look up to somebody that you do not know personally, and that you have not seen outside of their TV/Celebrity Role. I can answer the question with a question. "Do you see your role model 24/7? Are you witnessing everything they do on a daily basis?" More than likely the answer is no. That is why I can look up to Tyra. The reason I look up to her is because in a lot of ways I feel like she is like myself. She grew up with her mom as a single mother, as did I. She also mentions she has been a mean/popular girl and a girl that has been made fun of. Ditto that again, and the last one I will mention "It's not easy having huge ass boobs"! To me she is beautiful inside and out. Yes, she is beautiful physically, but I feel that you have to have the right/positive attitude for that beauty to show. I also love the fact that she posseses a helping-hand. From Top Model to T-Zone and now the Global B.I.O (beauty inside & out) movement I dare one person to argue that she is not giving back. The only show I watch FAITHFULLY & I mean faithfully is the Tyra Show, I know every episode inside and out. (Sooo sad 5th season is last. I actually shed a tear!). She has covered so many things that women, men, and children can relate to. I just respect her in everything she does and I can truely say that I look up to her. I can sit here and say she better not let me down, but we are all humans. Celebs go through things too so if she was to mess up or disappoint the FANS I would still respect her without a doubt for the things she has accomplished thus far. &STILL to this day I want to meet her and I know it will come true! To Tyra, You are an inspirational woman, I wish you success in everything you do, and you will be meeting me very soon!

Father Figures?

I've grown up my whole life knowing my father but never having an actual connection with him. We text each other every now&then but never hold on conversations. Better yet I barely visit him or his side of the family. It's hard growing up not knowing what to say around men or how to interact with boys. I never had that guidance. I know I am not the only person because nearly 65% of children grow up in a father-absent home. Although I wish and wish that my father would have been there for me when I was younger I realize that this is my live and God made it that way. I've grown to be a wonderful person and now I know when I make something of my life my dad will feel dumb in the end. That leads me into the question "is it okay for a father to pay child support but not have a relationship with the child?" Me personally i feel that you can not love a child with money. You have to be connected and really care. You can have all the money in the world and never feel complete because of one relationship missing. Alot of fathers feel like child support is an easy way out, it makes them feel like they actually care about the child. Then there's the other fathers who don't want to pay child support or have a relationship with the child. Those are the ones that really disgust me. You bring a child into the world and then abandon it. It's not fair but it happens. What do you feel about situations like these?

Okay to start off and get the site going I'm going to hose Who's Who of the Week. There will be a male winner and female winner.
